Basil Leaf, Lemon MRH ORG

Lemon basil leaf is a hybrid between basil and American basil, it is also known as Thai lemon basil, hoary basil, or Lao basil. This fragrant herb is primarily found growing in northeastern Africa and southern Asia where it is often used in local cuisines. In Laos, lemon basil is used almost exclusively in cultural dishes, some of which do not allow substitutions of any other variety due to the unique flavor this basil imparts.

Try adding this citrusy variation of basil to fresh salads and dips in the summer, or soups, stews, and curries in the colder months.
